Scholarships are usually giving to the best students in the school. 3.5 or higer. To maintain that GPA in high school, you have to be border line perfect all 4 years. The truth is there are some really good kids out there who made mistakes early on and now are really trying to catch up. They get left behind because of the mistake they made when they were 14 or 15. This scholarship is designed for those kids. The ones who if they didn't get pregnant too early, or they didn't have a fight and get expelled, or they simply was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I used to be a substitute teacher and watch these kids bust their behinds trying to make up for a mistake they made long time ago and receive no help. I look at these kids and know if they could just get a little help to get them started, they would be okay. That's where the Comics4Christ Scholarship kicks in. A percentage of the money from the show will go to this scholarship fund. So it's like this because we came together, the comics stirred up their gift from God, you laughed, and the result is now a student will get a 2nd chance at life and go to college.
Michael Little won the first Comics4Christ Scholarship. This is Michael explaining how his cheeks felt after being at the show where he was awarded his scholarship.
